Surrounded by Chamber Music since their youngest age, Camille Fonteneau (violin), Raphaël Jouan (cello) and Alexis Gournel (piano) have been exploring with passion the diverse repertoire for piano trio. The Hélios Trio met in 2014 at the CNSMD of Paris, where they received in June 2015 their
Bachelor's degree in Chamber Music with the highest honors in the class of Claire Désert and Ami Flammer. After studying with the Wanderer Trio and Emmanuel Strosser, they are currently receiving counseling from Itamar Golan and François Salque in the Masters Degree Program at the CNSMD of Paris. ECMA members (European Chamber Music Academy) since 2018, they regularly benefit from masterclasses from members of the Ebene and Modigliani Quartets. In March 2018, they were counseled by Gautier Capuçon during a masterclass at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris which was filmed by Since 2016, they have performed Beethoven's Triple Concerto six times with Orchestras in Paris and Rennes, as well as with the Lyon Opera House Orchestra. They have had the opportunity to play in different venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris, Salle Cortot, the Lyon Opera House, and the Phoenix Hall in Osaka. They are invited to numerous festivals such as the Festival de La Roque d'Anthéron, the Rencontres Musicales d'Evian, the Festival d'Auvers-sur-Oise, the Festival des Arcs, and the "Arts and Culture" Festival in Osaka. In October 2016, they performed for Warsaw's "Folles Journées", which led them to play for the same festival in Nantes, and in Tokyo. Selected by the Institut Français to play several concerts in Marocco, they often travel abroad (Austria, Germany, Norway, England, Japan...). Over the past years, they have gained visibility through several international prizes such as the 2nd Prize and the Audience Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition of Illzach, Winner of the Honor Prize at the International Léopold Bellan Competition, as well as a Grant from the FNAPEC after their performance during the "Musiques d'Ensemble de Paris" Competition. In July 2017, they were awarded the Grand Prize at the AEAFC "Prix d'Europe" Competition. More recently, in April 2018, they were awarded 2nd Prize at the Lyon International Competition, in August 2018 the KammerMusik Preis at the Isa Festival in Reichenau, and the Franz Liszt Prize for the best interpretation of a romantic piece at the Joseph Joachim Competition in Weimar in 2019.
